Dr. Chu is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry where she graduated with distinction. She also completed further training through a residency in Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She has taught clinical optometry overseas in the Netherlands at the Hogeschool van Utrecht and in Seville and Madrid, Spain. Dr. Chu is Past President of the South Bay Optometric Society, the local affiliate of the California Optometric Association. She was recently recognized by the COA as Young Optometrist of the Year. She also served on the Health Advisory Board for the area Federation Head Start Preschools and Volunteers of America.

Dr. Chu participates in the Sight for Students program and welcomes children of all ages in her office.
