Dr. Lau wears his Cal Blue and Gold colors proudly. He’s a Cal Bear through and through receiving three degrees from U.C. Berkeley : Bachelors of Art degree in Microbiology and Immunology, Bachelors or Science degree in Physiological Optics and his Doctor of Optometry Degree.
He has held numerous professional positions such as being an expert examiner for the State Board or Optometry as well as a Quality Assurance Auditor for Vision Service Plan.
Dr. Lau has been actively involved in the community as a Boy Scout merit badge counselor, coaching junior tennis and basketball and plays percussion for his church band. his favorite hobbies are fishing and tennis!
His greatest joys are his wife Lynn (also a Cal Bear Alum) and two sons. Michael, who recently graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a degree in Integrative Biology and Physical Sciences, and Brian, who is attending the University of California at Berkeley majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
