George Lam is a Hong Kong-based veteran Cantopop singer, songwriter, music producer and actor. He has remained popular for four decades with numerous songs hit the top of pop chart such as “Mr. Strong Man”, “Lonely Won’t Let Me Alone”, "The Mirage", "Reminiscence", "Who Can Understand Me" and "Fantasy".   

In 1980, both his own compositions “In the Middle of the Lake” and “Needs You Every Single Minute” won the Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Awards and made him a big winner of the year. In 1986, Lam composed the theme song "Who is my true love" in the movie "Passion" won the best original song of the Hong Kong Film Awards. In 1993, he and Sally Yeh’s duet song "Decision" made another hit on the chart and a favorite in karaoke for love birds.

Being very innovative, he orchestrated 20 hit Cantopop songs to create a medley called "10 Minutes 12 Inches" and set the trend for long medley. Also, he has bold attempts in adapting songs like the "Every Single Night", which is a combination of two musical pieces: "Growltiger's Last Stand" in the musical "Cats" by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Huang Zi's works on Bai Juyi's "Flower Non-Flower". It is so natural that seems like an original piece.
