美国第44任总统奥巴马今天在华盛顿宣誓就职,美国人民和全世界一起共同见证美国233年历史上第一位非洲裔总统宣誓就职这一历史性时刻.他的就职正值美国人民充满焦虑和期待,而又渴望改变并重新燃起希望的时刻,人们对奥巴玛带领美国战胜当前严重危机并开创新局面寄以厚望.此刻也正值中美建立大使级外交关系30周年,中美关系处在承前启后的重要时期.中美集邮中心在美国邮政总局监制及核准下,制作纪念封一枚,以资世人庆祝铭记.祝贺欧巴玛总统就职典礼圆满成功,并表达美国华侨华人对中美两国的合作交流不断发展的良好祝愿。

Commemorative Cover to Celebrate the Inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States. (Washington D.C - Jan. 20, 2009)

Barack H. Obama will swear in as the 44th president of the United States today, who is the first African-American president in the country's 233-year history. It is an unforgettable historical moment of hope and pride for all people in the U.S., including all Chinese-Americans. Coincidently, Sino-U.S. relations were in an important era and the two countries marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties this year. The Sino-American Philatelic Center issue this cover to congratulate the inauguration ceremony of Barack Obama as New U.S. President, and express the best wishes to a more constructive and cooperative relationship between China and U.S. in the future.
